Optometrist Positions Gardner Health Services is currently recruiting to fill the following Optometrist positions: Two (2) Part-time, on-call positions will work on an as-needed basis at the various Gardner clinics in the San Jose and greater Bay Area. The Optometrist provides direct primary eye care and guidance to Gardner patients and/or makes appropriate referrals. The position supervises Optometry Technicians and other support staff. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent experience and ability to provide strong customer service to patients from a variety of backgrounds and cultures is important. This recruitment will remain open until filled. Minimum Qualifications:
  • Doctorate degree from a school of Optometry approved by the state of California.
  • A current California License to practice optometry.
  • Certificate in Ocular Pharmacology issued by the State Board of Optometry.
  • An average of 50 post-graduate hours in Optometric-Medical education in the last 2 years.
  • Current DEA license number (For Regular Part-time/Full-time Optometrist that work 20+ Hours)
  • If selected, other documents and certifications may be required as part of the hiring and credentialing process
  • Compensation and level of position placement will be determined based on relevant experience and education.
