About the role
We are conducting a confidential search for a Director of Business Development & Marketing for a well-established, growing specialty contractor.This executive-level role will lead the company’s business development, growth strategy, client relationships, and marketing efforts, working directly with ownership and executive leadership to expand into new markets and strengthen existing customer relationships.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute company-wide business development and growth strategies.Identify new clients, markets, partnerships, and project opportunities.Build and maintain relationships with key customers and industry partners.Lead opportunity qualification, pursuit strategy, and go/no-go decisions.Partner with operations and estimating to align opportunities with company capabilities.Manage and improve CRM, pipeline forecasting, and business development reporting.Oversee marketing, branding, digital presence, proposals, and industry outreach.Lead and develop the Business Development and Marketing team.Provide executive leadership with market intelligence, pipeline visibility, and growth recommendations.Ideal Background10+ years of progressive business development, marketing, or growth leadership experience.Construction, electrical, mechanical, industrial, engineering, or related project-based industry experience strongly preferred.Proven ability to develop client relationships and generate profitable new business.Experience leading teams and working directly with executive leadership.Strong understanding of CRM systems, pipeline management, and data-driven business development.This is an opportunity to join an established specialty contractor with a strong reputation, significant capabilities, and a leadership team committed to continued growth.Competitive executive compensation, excellent benefits, flexible PTO, 401(k), and significant opportunity for long-term impact and advancement.
