About the role

Salary Range: $75,000 to $95,000 Company DescriptionHTP is an IT consulting and software development company. Our team members call themselves "Ninjas," a nod to the adaptability we bring to client work: we pick up new technologies quickly and take on a wide range of projects. We follow Agile practices across our development and project management work. As a full-service development company, we provide technical solutions and consulting services to clients and take on projects of varying size and complexity. Our team includes experienced developers who build custom and mobile applications. We also teach SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) classes for organizations adopting Agile practices. We're looking for people who enjoy learning, take ownership of their work, and want to keep growing their technical skills as part of a collaborative team.
Role Description: As a Cloud Engineer at HTP Consulting Services, you will design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure across Azure, AWS, and Microsoft 365 environments in a fully remote role. This is a hands-on technical position focused on building secure, scalable, and reliable cloud environments. You will architect and implement cloud environments spanning compute, storage, networking, and identity, and you will automate their provisioning and configuration using infrastructure as code and scripting. Working alongside our developers and engineering teams, you will support CI/CD pipelines, migrations, and modernization efforts from planning through production. Your day-to-day work will include administering Azure subscriptions, AWS accounts, and Microsoft 365 tenants; managing identity and access; hardening environments against security threats; and monitoring performance, availability, and cost. You will also troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, maintain backup and disaster recovery strategies, and document architectures and runbooks so environments stay consistent and supportable. You have solid experience with cloud infrastructure and keep your skills current as cloud services and best practices evolve. Good organizational and communication skills are important in this role, as you will work closely with engineering teams, share knowledge, and see projects through to completion. If you have the experience described below and are looking for a remote, hands-on cloud engineering role, we would like to hear from you.
Qualifications:
  • 3–5 years of experience (mid-level position)· Proven hands-on experience designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud infrastructure· Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP· Solid understanding of infrastructure, networking, and security technologies· Experience with infrastructure as code and scripting (e.g., Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, PowerShell, Azure/AWS CLI)· Experience with Microsoft 365 administration· Experience troubleshooting complex technical issues· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills· Excellent written and verbal communication skills· Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field· Cloud certifications are a plus; Azure certifications preferred CompensationHTP is a Safe Harbor company offering a 401(k) plan (6% company match), company-paid employee-only level medical benefits (discounting higher coverage levels), and unlimited PTO.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
