Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Superintendent to lead field operations for complex wastewater treatment plant construction and expansion projects throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth region. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing heavy civil and water/wastewater infrastructure projects, including treatment plants, pump stations, process piping, concrete structures, and mechanical equipment installations.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide overall site leadership for wastewater treatment plant construction projects ranging from $20M to $200M+.Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily construction activities, subcontractors, self-perform crews, and field staff. Develop and maintain project schedules in collaboration with project management teams. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and environmental requirements. Lead site safety meetings, inspections, and incident prevention initiatives. Coordinate work between civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation trades. Monitor project progress and identify opportunities to improve productivity and efficiency. Conduct quality control inspections and ensure work complies with contract documents, specifications, and regulatory standards. Interface with owners, engineers, inspectors, and municipal representatives. Assist with manpower planning, equipment utilization, and procurement coordination. Mentor and develop superintendents, foremen, and field engineers. Resolve field conflicts, schedule challenges, and construction issues in a proactive manner. Required
Qualifications:
10+ years of construction supervision experience on water/wastewater infrastructure projects.5+ years in a Superintendent or Senior Superintendent role.
Demonstrated experience delivering wastewater treatment plant projects.
Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete structures, process piping, mechanical systems, and heavy civil construction.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and schedules.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency with construction scheduling and field management software.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth region as required.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Experience with municipal wastewater treatment facilities valued at $50M+.Background working for a general contractor specializing in water/wastewater construction. OSHA 30 certification.
First Aid/CPR certification.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred but not required).
