About the role

Basket Apprentice WelderSchedule: Monday-Friday Hours: 6am-2:30pm Pay: $17-$18 HourlyBasket Welder is responsible for laying out, fitting, and welding stainless steel, carbon steel, and alloy metals to fabricate industrial strainer baskets, cone strainers, and specialized screen elements. These baskets filter pipeline debris under severe flow and pressure conditions, the role demands high-precision, structural-integrity welds (often subject to strict ASME quality guidelines) and the ability to work with thin-gauge sheet metals and perforated mesh using TIG.

Experience: Completion of welding school or 1+ year experience in structural or custom fabrication welding handling wire mesh, stainless steel sheet metals, or pressure rated equipment is a plus. Accurately read and interpret mechanical blueprints and drawings. Proficient with basic shop tools, grinders, tape measures and shop math. Use of overhead cranes, forklifts and dollies. Ability to pass company weld test.
