Role Description:
The Human Resources Generalist is a full-time, on-site role based in Canton, MI. This position is responsible for supporting day-to-day HR operations, including administering HR policies, assisting with employee onboarding and offboarding, and maintaining employee records. The role includes coordinating benefits enrollment, supporting benefits administration, and responding to employee questions related to compensation, benefits, and HR procedures. The Human Resources Generalist will help ensure compliance with employment laws, support performance management processes, and assist with employee relations issues. The role also involves collaborating with managers on staffing needs, participating in HR projects, and contributing to a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
Qualifications:
Strong foundation in Human Resources (HR) practices, including HR Management and HR Policies.
Experience with Employee Benefits and Benefits Administration, including enrollment and ongoing support.
Knowledge of employment laws and regulations, and ability to apply them in day-to-day HR operations.
Solid organizational skills with attention to detail, accuracy in documentation, and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization.
Proficiency with HRIS and standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office), and comfort learning new HR tools.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain a professional and solutions-focused approach.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
