About the role

Financial services firm in NYC is seeking a Receptionist to join their team. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of front-of-house experience, preferably within financial services industry. This is a temporary to permanent opportunity! Fully in-office, Monday - Friday
Pay rate: $32-34/hr.
Hours: 8am-5pm
Responsibilities: Greet visitors and callers warmly, ensuring a professional and welcoming first impression. Answer and manage the main phone line, directing calls appropriately and taking detailed messages. Schedule and manage conference room bookings using Microsoft Outlook. Coordinate catering arrangements for meetings and office events. Maintain conference rooms and pantry areas, ensuring cleanliness and organization. Assist with facilities management tasks, including inventory control and liaising with building management. Support HR with scheduling, onboarding materials, and special projects as needed. Organize office activities such as Healthy Snacks, Birthdays, and Pizza Fridays to foster a positive work environment. Serve as administrator for third-party service provider oversight committees.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree required, with a focus on communication or related fields preferred. Minimum of 1 year of experience in a receptionist or front-of-house role; 2 years preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and general office technology essential. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple priorities effectively. Warm, professional, and polished communication skills with a genuine service orientation. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing needs. Team-oriented mindset with initiative and follow-through capabilities. Experience in financial services or similar industries is advantageous.
