About the role

Do you want to help raise awareness about the plight of animals in homes where domestic violence occurs? Want to help make sure that anyone who needs help with their pets when escaping a domestic violence situation is aware of Ahimsa House's lifesaving services? We are looking for helpers to take our informational brochures to vet clinics, pet boarding facilities, and other places willing to display them. We are also looking for Ahimsa Ambassadors who will talk to their vets or doggy daycares about partnering with us. If you're interested, please contact us by email at volunteer@ahimsahouse.org with questions, or follow the link below to begin our volunteer application/orientation process: https://ahimsahouse.org/ambassador

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
