Starting at $52.98/hour for candidates within the local radius Custom Healthcare Solutions is seeking an experienced Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (PICU RN) for a contract opportunity with a nationally recognized specialty hospital in New York City. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced pediatric critical care nurse interested in working within a highly specialized, multidisciplinary environment caring for medically complex pediatric patients. The PICU provides advanced care to children and adolescents requiring intensive medical and surgical services. Nurses work closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, and other pediatric specialists to deliver high-quality, patient-centered critical care.
Position Responsibilities:
Provide direct nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients Perform ongoing patient assessments and monitor changes in clinical condition Administer medications, treatments, and therapies in accordance with the plan of care Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary team members Respond appropriately to changes in patient acuity and emergency situations Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation Follow hospital policies, patient safety standards, and infection prevention protocols Provide education and support to patients and families throughout the care process
Qualifications:
