Sales Assistant Location is 463 7th NY NY Onsite 3 days a week- Remote 2 days Open for Fulltime Sales Assistant
Role Overview:
Ben Sherman is a globally recognized British heritage brand, founded in Brighton in 1963, with a legacy rooted in British fashion, music, and culture. The Sales Assistant will support the US sales team across market appointments, account management, order processing, inventory tracking, customer communication, and reporting. This is a fast-paced, detail-oriented role requiring strong organization, communication, and follow-through.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Market Support Support seasonal market appointments, including showroom setup, appointment preparation, note-taking, and post-market follow-up. Prepare buyer line sheets and assortment updates following market appointments. Organize and track samples for markets and customer presentations. Support the sales team with customer requests and day-to-day account needs. Account & Product Management Maintain account product setup forms, product information, and vendor images. Monitor retailer websites to ensure products are accurately presented and set up. Manage NuORDER entry and updates post-market. Provide regular account recaps on sales performance and inventory. Order & Inventory Management Maintain the PO Log, inventory files, and order book, ensuring information is accurate and up to date. Track orders from confirmation through shipment and delivery, proactively flagging issues or delays. Partner with Sales Operations on shipping, delivery updates, and order tracking. Communicate weekly shipping updates and seasonal order confirmations. Customer Communication Communicate with buyers regarding orders, shipping, sales performance, delivery changes, and reorders. Assist with EDI, shipping issues, extensions, returns, exchanges, and other account needs. Communicate customer requests to the NY team and internal departments to ensure timely resolution. Help maintain strong, responsive relationships with accounts. Sales Reporting & Analysis Review account selling reports to identify sales, inventory, and reorder opportunities. Run weekly and monthly shipping and on-order reports. Recap account performance, including style selling, sales, inventory, and opportunities. Provide accurate reporting to support account management and in-season business.
What We're Looking For:
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced sales environment. Strong Excel skills and comfort working with detailed spreadsheets and reporting. Proactive problem-solver who works well with customers and internal teams. Interest in fashion, retail, and wholesale sales; 1–2 years of relevant experience preferred. Collaborative, dependable, and willing to take ownership of day-to-day responsibilities.
