- Develop, validate, and deploy new heat exchanger technologies for Carrier’s current and growing range of products.
- Identify and pursue innovation opportunities that improve efficiency, cost, reliability, and competitiveness of Carrier products.
- Apply state-of-art design and simulation tools to optimize heat exchanger performance with a focus on compact heat exchangers and electronics cooling
- Lend expertise to cross-functional product development teams to ensure successful insertion of new technologies in Carrier products.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 7+ years of engineering experience
- Master’s degree in engineering with 5+ years of engineering experience
- PhD degree in engineering with 3+ years of engineering experience
- Knowledge of the fundamentals of thermodynamics and fluid mechanics as well as heat transfer and heat exchanger design
- Knowledge of two-phase flow phenomena (liquid-gas), heat transfer, and hydraulic resistance concepts.
- Experience in mechanical and thermal design using numerical and analytical models; CFD/FEA familiarity is a plus.
- Experience in computer programming languages; EES and MatLab.
- Good communication and organization skills
- Ability to manage critical tasks and complete assignments in a timely manner.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to creatively overcome obstacles to achieve project objectives.
