About the role

We are seeking analysts experienced in a GSOC environment to join our growing team. This is not an IT/cybersecurity position. This role will require using intelligence tools and conducting open-source research to identify emerging threats to client assets and personnel and provide timely notification in accordance with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Preferred candidates are expected to have demonstrated experience in open-source intelligence (OSINT) analysis, be highly organized, have strong writing skills, and be interested in current physical security issues and trends. There are currently no expectations of security technology systems monitoring (e.g., CCTV systems, access control). Positions are in-person and located in Midtown Manhattan. This position will involve both day and night shifts, rotating on a month-to-month basis, to include weekend and holiday coverage (averaging around 40 hours/week).
Required Skills and Experience: Bachelor's degree required; International Relations, Political Science, History, English, Communications or related field (not cybersecurity). This is an entry level position. We encourage recent graduates with relevant educational backgrounds to apply or professionals with 1-2 years of experience in the security industry, military or law enforcement, or any research heavy position. Experience using proximity alerting or intelligence tools is preferred. Comfortable working and remaining calm in a fast-paced environment; ability to quickly shuffle priorities in accordance with changing demands. Deep understanding and passion for breaking news, geopolitical events, global affairs, and risk issues. Excellent written communications skills, with close proofreading and attention to detail. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. Experience with handling confidential information. Your primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Collect and analyze data from global events, using open-source intelligence, to identify and mitigate threatening activities against office locations, special events, operations, assets, and personnel. Remain in regular communication with your colleagues, based in both our Midtown Manhattan and London offices, for collaboration during and between shifts. Document, draft, and edit policies and procedures and seek opportunities to improve existing systems. Conduct a daily review of client travel, as required, cross-checking information across team, company, and client resources. Conduct analysis and provide recommendations to clients traveling to high-risk areas through formal written reports. Provide initial and ongoing emergency response support in accordance with established policies and procedures. Execute routine and emergency communications, as directed. Liaison between clients, other departments, and company leadership during an emergency. Research, analyze and deliver detailed assessments and advisories and prepare periodic reporting as required. Provide timely updates to the management team regarding incidents of concern. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner. Encourage teamwork. Participate in special projects and initiatives, as needed. Qualified candidates will be required to provide a writing sample and complete a proofreading assessment. A non-disclosure agreement and background check will also be required for employment. The annual salary range is $66,560 - $72,800.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
