About the role
Scrum Master / IT Portfolio Manager (AWS Infrastructure)
Location: Tysons, VA 22102 (100% onsite, 5 days a week)
Type: Contract, 12+ months
About the role:
You'll be the delivery lead for an agile infrastructure team that builds AWS solutions. You'll run several projects in the portfolio at the same time and act as the team's main link to leadership. That means turning technical work into clear dashboards, reports and executive updates. This role is for someone who can set up a portfolio and run it on their own from day one.
What you'll do:
- Run Scrum for a technical infrastructure team: planning, grooming, standups, reviews and retros
- Manage the full portfolio: work intake, requirements gathering, scope assessment and planning
- Track tasks, clear blockers, and manage dependencies and risks across projects
- Coordinate resources across teams and represent the team in cross-team forums
- Build and maintain dashboards, and track and report delivery metrics
- Write executive communications and status reports for senior leadership
- What you bring 7+ years in IT3+ years as a Scrum Master 5+ years as a Waterfall Project Manager 5+ years delivering technical projects 3+ years in Program or Portfolio Management
- Strong command of Agile and Waterfall, and experience building metrics, dashboards and reports
- Hands-on expertise in JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint, Microsoft Project, Teams, PowerPoint, Visio and advanced Excel (macros, pivot tables)
- Enough technical depth to work closely with engineers and explain their work to executives
Excellent communication, facilitation and leadership skillsCSM certification is required. PMP is preferred.

Tableau, infrastructure or AWS background, portfolio financials, accounting knowledge Interview note: Be ready to show how you build reports and dashboards during the interview. You may be asked to bring a sample of your work.
