Job Description: Sage Group HealthCare Staffing is looking for Histology Technician / Histotechnician to join a Professional Pathology Laboratory Unit responsible for producing high-quality tissue slides for Pathologist evaluation. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented laboratory professional with strong histology skills and a commitment to accuracy and quality. Full-Time Evening Shift
Schedule: Days & hours vary
Pay: $32.51-$48.76/hour
Key Responsibilities: Process, embed, section, and prepare tissue specimens for diagnosis. Perform H&E, special stains, and IHC procedures. Maintain slide quality through appropriate quality control and testing. Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment. Maintain accurate documentation and follow laboratory safety and regulatory standards. Identify and escalate specimen, equipment, or testing issues as needed.
Requirements: Valid New York State laboratory license/credential applicable to the role. Education meeting NYS Office of the Professions & CLIA requirements. Strong knowledge of histology procedures and laboratory quality standards.1+ year of histology experience preferred. ASCP certification preferred. Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced lab.
