Comfy Cubs is looking for an experienced Purchasing Manager to oversee the purchasing and movement of inventory from our international suppliers to our warehouses. This is a high-impact role responsible for managing the entire purchasing lifecycle—from issuing purchase orders and monitoring production to coordinating international shipments, supplier payments, and final delivery. We're looking for someone who thrives on organization, takes ownership, and enjoys solving problems before they become issues.
What You'll Do:
Manage purchase orders from approval through final delivery Coordinate with international suppliers to ensure production stays on schedule Monitor manufacturing timelines and proactively resolve delays Schedule and review third-party product inspections Coordinate ocean and air freight shipments with freight forwarders and logistics partners Track shipments and communicate updates across teams Review shipping documentation, invoices, and payment schedules for accuracy Manage supplier deposits, freight payments, and landed cost tracking Analyze purchasing, freight, and inventory costs Maintain accurate purchasing, logistics, and supplier records Provide leadership with regular reporting on production, shipments, and purchasing activity
What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or an MBA (Required)5+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, logistics, supply chain, or accounting operations Experience working with international suppliers and overseas manufacturing Strong understanding of ocean freight, air freight, customs documentation, and international shipping Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities Experience with ERP, inventory management, or purchasing systems Ability to manage multiple suppliers, shipments, and deadlines simultaneously High level of accuracy, accountability, and attention to detail Consumer products, retail, ecommerce, or Amazon experience Working with manufacturers in China, Vietnam, India, or other international markets Reviewing product inspection reports and managing quality control processes Understanding of landed costs, duties, and freight forwarding
Salary: $80,000 - $100,000
