The successful candidate will be responsible for leading key corporate governance and transactional matters, as well as providing practical advice and oversight on labor and employment and litigation issues. This role demands a high level of fiduciary responsibility to ensure the company's compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The Assistant General Counsel will also be involved in monitoring business performance, regulatory requirements, and best practices for governance and disclosure. Close collaboration with senior leadership and LCCA team members is essential to manage a wide range of legal issues and to develop efficient legal processes that align with business needs and risks. Applicants for the Assistant General Counsel position at the company should hold a J.D. and be admitted to the bar in any U.S. state. A minimum of 7 years' legal experience, with a focus on corporate governance and transactions, is required. The ideal candidate will have a versatile background, be adept at handling various legal matters, and possess excellent analytical, interpersonal, and presentation skills. The role also requires the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the business, from junior staff to senior management, and to be a nimble and adaptable team player. Experience in private equity-backed companies, mergers and acquisitions, and labor and employment matters is preferred, as is exposure to intellectual property, technology transactions, and executive compensation.
