Role Overview In the current dynamic landscape of data management, becoming a member of the Global Data Management (GDM) team at Colgate is a truly exhilarating experience. Our team, renowned for its strategic use of data and forward‑thinking attitude, is integral to fostering Colgate Palmolive's advancement in this continuously redefining arena. As a Data Governance Analyst specializing in Product Data Management, you will serve as the pivotal contact for any business‑related questions and ensure the integrity and accuracy of product information while guiding partners through the complexities of data. Responsibilities Serve as the main point of contact for business‑related questions concerning product, material, vendor, customer and finance master data. Ensure the integrity and accuracy of product information, guiding partners to resolve data complexities. Maintain robust data governance practices and facilitate clear communication to support data‑driven decisions. Validate trackers and dashboards to maintain consistency across reporting cycles. Ensure compliance with internal data management policies and achieve data‑related targets. Facilitate audits by providing required data and ensuring SOX compliance. Continuously seek and implement improvements to streamline and optimize data management processes. Generate reports assessing data quality, rectify disorganized or incorrect data, and participate in initiatives to improve data quality. Manage and lead all aspects of data within SAP, ensuring quality and consistency for business operations. Conduct regular data quality checks to meet high standards and support strategic decisions. Support the Global Data Management Center of Excellence by providing project support. Act as a business liaison, capturing requirements and translating business needs into data solutions. Handle data migration projects, ensuring seamless transitions and integrity across systems. Lead the implementation of new data management tools, streamlining processes and enhancing data handling capabilities. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher. At least 2 years of experience working with tools and technology. Strong proficiency in SAP systems. Knowledge of reporting and dashboarding. Python knowledge or completion of a data science course. Preferred Qualifications Solid understanding of the consumer packaged goods industry. Understanding of Colgate's processes and tools supporting analytics (for internal candidates). Willingness and ability to experiment with new tools and techniques. Good facilitation and project management skills.
