About the role
Designing and managing a comprehensive research library, the full-time Digital Librarian will lead the intake, indexing, and metadata workflow for a Columbia River fish mitigation project, ensuring the quality and consistency of biological and fisheries research records in a fully remote environment.
Key responsibilities:
Lead the transfer and intake of literature records, including deduplication and version control
Develop metadata standards and indexing conventions for scientific literature
Configure and quality-check AI-assisted intake and screening tools, documenting workflows and standardsRequired qualificationsExperience organizing scientific, technical, or federal research literature
Knowledge of metadata standards and controlled vocabularies
Familiarity with reference management tools, such as Zotero
Experience with AI-assisted tools for documentation and research workflows
Understanding of Section 508 accessibility standards
