About the role

Our client, a well-known hedge fund located in downtown, New York, is looking to hire an Investor Services consultant to their team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to managing the onboarding, opening, maintenance, and closing of investor accounts across multiple account types and investment strategies, coordinating onboarding across various trading and investment platforms, and ensuring accounts are established accurately and efficiently. The role includes providing white-glove customer service to investors, responding to inquiries and resolving issues professionally and promptly.
Additional Responsibilities: Support transfer agency and investor servicing operations across alternative investment funds and multiple investment strategies. Process and coordinate investor subscriptions, redemptions, transfers, capital commitments, capital allocations, distributions, and other liquidity events. Manage investor inquiries and escalations via phone and email, coordinating with fund administrators and internal teams to resolve issues related to capital activity, subscription documentation, reporting, and reconciliations. Coordinate investor switches and new fund series setups, including gathering required client information and documentation. Partner with Compliance to obtain approvals for fund and subscription documentation. Work closely with Operations, Back Office, Technology, and Fund Administration teams on account setup, system maintenance, and issue resolution. Facilitate capital call activity, including distributing investor notices, tracking funding deadlines, and resolving exceptions. Experience Needed:1–5 years of experience in investor services, client onboarding or client services at an investment bank, private equity firm or hedge fund Familiarity with subscription documents, KYC/AML and fund administrator workflows Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Clear, professional communication, both written and verbal Advanced Excel skills; experience with a CRM (Salesforce, Deal Cloud, Backstop) is a plus Bachelor's degree preferred
