Temporary Positions Our temporary positions offer great opportunities for those seeking a flexible and fulfilling work experience. For those ultimately seeking regular full-time opportunities, temporary employment also offers an opportunity to network and to gain relevant university experience. We staff a variety of jobs including administrative, technical, service, maintenance, skilled trades, and office/clerical. Temporary assignments can vary in length from one day to six months, and occasionally up to a year or more. Duties are varied depending on the temporary employment received. High School Diploma or equivalent. Position requires sitting, standing, and walking. Must be able to bend, squat, and reach regularly/on occasion. Capable of moving, and transporting materials regularly/on occasion. Duties imply the use of a computer and other technology involving fine finger movements. Communicate orally and in writing with various audiences. Additional physical demands based on specific department needs. Vary in hours as required based on specific department needs. A background check is required to be completed prior to starting the temporary assignment. Completed UCM online application for employment required. Incomplete applications will not be considered. A review will begin immediately and continue until filled unless indicated otherwise. A background check is required for the selected candidate of all staff, faculty, adjunct, and temporary positions and any job offer is contingent on the results of this check.
