What You'll Do:
  • Provide specialized nursing care to postoperative cardiothoracic surgery patients in the CVICU or step-down units
  • Support cardiac surgeries, including procedures like temporary pacemaker removal, chest tube removal, IABP removal, and A-line placement
  • Collaborate with surgeons and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Monitor patient status and respond to changes during recovery
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
  • Document patient care accurately and efficiently in Cerner EMR
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and safety standards
What You Need
Required: Valid Arizona RN license with unrestricted status
Minimum of 3 years of experience in cardiothoracic surgery Proficiency with EVH practice Current BLS and ACLS certifications DEA registration (if applicable)
Preferred: Experience supporting adult and geriatric cardiothoracic patients
Strong teamwork and communication skills Ability to adapt to a fast-paced hospital environment About the Assignment: This contract opportunity is with a leading healthcare facility in Flagstaff, AZ, supporting the Cardiac Surgery Department.
