Job Description: Job Description We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Onsite Calibration Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for testing, adjusting, and calibrating physical and dimensional precision measurement equipment at customers facility. The ideal candidate will have direct, hands-on experience calibrating critical dimensional inspection tools, with a specific focus on Optical Comparators and Mic Tracs.
Key Responsibilities: Equipment Calibration: Perform routine and complex calibrations on dimensional inspection equipment, specifically focusing on Optical Comparators and Mic Tracs (Micro-Trac systems). Technical Compliance: Ensure all calibration activities comply with industry standards, manufacturer specifications, and internal quality procedures (such as ISO/IEC 17025). Data Management: Record and document precise calibration data, issue calibration certificates, and maintain accurate asset tracking records in our calibration software. Maintenance & Repair: Troubleshoot, clean, and perform minor adjustments or repairs on out-of-tolerance gauges and instruments. Client & Team Interaction: Collaborate with quality control and production teams to minimize equipment downtime and ensure seamless workflow.
Required Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Calibration Technician specializing in dimensional or physical/mechanical disciplines. Technical Expertise: Proven, hands-on experience calibrating and operating Optical Comparators (geometric measurement software, optics, and scales) and Mic Tracs / Universal Measuring Machines (for calibrating plug gauges, ring gauges, and thread wires). Standards Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of quality management systems, particularly ISO/IEC 17025 or ANSI/NCSL Z540. Math & Blueprint Skills: Solid understanding of basic math. Precision: High level of manual dexterity and attention to detail when working with delicate precision instruments.
