Staff Recruiting Manager
consilioBaltimore (MD)
About the role
A growing and innovative professional services firm is seeking a Staff Recruiting Manager to lead recruiting efforts across both professional and administrative (non-attorney) hiring. This is an exceptional opportunity for a recruiter who thrives in a hands-on environment and wants the autonomy to build processes, influence hiring strategy, and serve as a true talent partner to firm leadership. This role is ideal for an experienced law firm recruiter with broad recruiting exposure and also an outstanding opportunity for Coordinator ready to step into a management-level role and take ownership of the firm's recruiting function. Candidates from professional services environments, and law firm recruiting agencies are also encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will manage recruiting from requisition through onboarding, oversee external search firm relationships, advise hiring managers, and help develop scalable recruiting processes to support continued growth. The organization values innovation, initiative, and professionals who identify opportunities for improvement rather than simply maintain the status quo. This is not a recruiting coordinator role hidden behind a manager title. You'll have ownership of the entire talent acquisition function, direct exposure to firm leadership, influence over hiring strategy, responsibility for agency partnerships, and the opportunity to build and improve recruiting processes as the organization grows.
Responsibilities:
Lead full-cycle recruitment for legal and administrative positions from sourcing through onboarding.
Partner with hiring managers to develop recruiting strategies, define hiring needs, and guide candidate selection.
Create and manage job postings, screen applicants, conduct initial candidate evaluations, and coordinate interview processes.
Build talent pipelines using direct sourcing, referrals, professional networks, social media platforms, and external recruiting partners.
Manage relationships with search firms, recruiting agencies, professional organizations, alumni groups, and other talent sources.
Advise hiring managers on market trends, compensation expectations, interview best practices, and talent acquisition strategies.
Oversee recruitment-related budgets, vendor relationships, and external recruiting expenditures.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Approximately three or more years of recruiting experience within a law firm, professional services organization, or comparable environment.
Demonstrated experience managing full-cycle recruitment from initial intake through offer negotiation and onboarding.
Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and sourcing tools.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Comfortable networking, sourcing talent, and representing an employer brand across professional organizations and social media platforms._______________________________________________________ELS Consilio, LLC’s Direct Hire Division staffs positions for Consilio clients and does not staff for internal corporate positions at Consilio. Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
