About the role

Tool & Die Machinist / Manual Machinist$26 - $34/hr + Overtime + Career Progression + Training + Excellent Benefits Cleveland, OH (Commutable from: Lakewood, Euclid, Mentor, Willoughby, Parma, Beachwood, Mayfield Heights, Strongsville) Are you a Manual Machinist, Tool & Die Machinist or Toolmaker who wants to work on the machinery behind the manufacturing process, rather than running the same parts day after day? Is now the time to put your skills to work across precision tooling, prototypes and large-scale equipment builds in a true in-house Tool Room? Join a growing, family-owned manufacturer with its own in-house Tool Room and Engineering team. They design and build much of their production equipment themselves, so the work you do directly contributes to the machinery running on the shop floor. This isn't repetitive production machining. You'll build, modify, fit and troubleshoot equipment, work alongside Engineers and experienced Tool & Die professionals, and tackle projects that can range from a few days to several months. The team is hiring across different experience levels. Experienced machinists can take ownership of projects and develop toward greater technical responsibility, while those earlier in their career will have access to structured training and experienced Journeymen to help develop their skills. With multiple positions available, they're looking to add people who want to build a long-term career in a genuine Tool Room environment.
The Role:
  • Machine, fit, build and troubleshoot tooling, components and production equipment
  • Use manual mills, lathes and other Tool Room equipment
  • Work alongside Engineering on prototypes, machinery builds and varied projects
  • Develop your technical skills and take on greater responsibility as your experience grows
  • The Person:
  • Manual Machining, Tool & Die, Toolmaking or similar hands-on experience
  • Comfortable working with precision components and tight tolerances around 0.001\"Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • Looking for a hands-on, varied environment rather than repetitive production work
  • Monday-Friday 7:30am-3:30pm, on-site | OT paid 1.5x over 40 hours

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
