SOREL Digital Graphic Designer II, WebThis position is designated as a hybrid role based out of our headquarters near Portland, Oregon. The current expectation is for employees to work onsite four days per week, subject to change based on business needs. This in-office requirement may be adjusted at the discretion of the company.About The PositionThe SOREL Digital Graphic Designer II, Web is an important member of the SOREL Global Brand Marketing Creative team. They will be responsible for designing and producing comprehensive design executions to foster brand awareness, increase engagement, support sales growth objectives, and increase consumer lifetime value on sorel.com.The purpose of the Hybrid Designer is to omnichannel assets and solutions based off seasonal brand creative directions. This includes but not limited to - Multimedia and graphic projects relating to: SOREL website, email, retail displays, paid media, content development, and organic social. This role will translate creative concepts into visual designs working cross-functionally with teams to take ideas from concept to execution. The Digital Graphic Designer will primarily interpret the seasonal creative direction into an effective and engaging end user-experience. Additionally, you will develop bespoke design initiatives and deliver creative solutions tailored to specific needs. You will be working closely with the internal design team, site/email team, development, Europe/Canada partners and our internal operations team.This role will maintain and enhance our existing creative marketing strategy with a focus on increased reach across digital channels.This role reports to the Brand Creative Director.How You'll Make A DifferenceWork within seasonal brand guidelines to create layouts and design executions that reinforce SOREL's brand voice through its visual/digital.com touchpointsProduce the design and production for websites, product graphics, banners, static and rich banner ads, email campaigns, and email templatesWork across several different mediums from: graphic design, web design, video, animation, AI, etc.Apply exceptional production design skills across all marketing channels (site, email, social, etc.)Collaborate with Site Managers and Brand Marketing Team in meeting high level site objectivesNavigate processes and quick turn deadlines across multiple wireframes into simple, easy-to-use responsive user interfaces across multiple platformsCreate paid media in the form of light touch video edits as well as static exeucutions.Communicate and present design concepts for approval to internal and external departmentsWork with external developers to ensure aesthetics also are aligned with usability, accessibility, and web or retail standardsDesign window displays, posters, and in-store signsTranslate product positioning, existing research, and online Marketing strategies into effective designs across all creative executionsDesign beautiful, mobile-friendly email marketing campaignsBroaden and enhance knowledge by keeping up to date with digital innovations and competitorsHelp lead and produce large scale digital campaigns such as Cyber, Holiday, Seasonal Sale, etc.You AreA hybrid design specialist with a strong production design background.Positive with an enthusiastic attitude.Experienced in a hybrid design role.Passionate about fashion and footwear/apparel industry.You HaveBachelor's Degree Digital Arts, Graphic Design or related fieldA minimum of 2-4 years of progressive design marketing experience either in-house or agencyMultidisciplinary visual design skill set being able to jump from multiple projects to anotherStrong production design skillset with the ability to complete tasks efficiently and accuratelyFootwear and/or apparel and retail industry experience strongly preferredStrong portfolio of design work, showing solution to business problems through effective designMust have excellent Macintosh computer skills including expert level knowledge in Figma, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, After Effects, Premier, and PowerPoint.Understanding of web design issues, including browser usability and cross-platform compatibilityResponsive design and e-commerce experience within AEM and other platforms are a plusStrong work ethic and personal accountabilityHas experience working cross-functionally with a digital marketing teamHas been intimately involved in the execution of a digital brand campaignThe position requires strong design and problem-solving skills, as well as an eye for detail.A solid foundation in typography, layout and designA strong knowledge in color, scale, contrast, balance and hierarchy is a mustExperience with transitions, animation, motion design and dynamic interactionExcellent visual, written and verbal communication skills, along with presentation and negotiation skillsA penchant for details and organization, including the ability to prioritize tasks, communicate progress and meet deadlinesThe ability to effectively take direction and work both collaboratively and autonomouslyInteract with co-workers in a professional manner that supports the department and promotes a positive work environmentCommunicate clearly with staff, management, vendors, customer, and clients this includes adapting to be effective with a multitude of personalities and circumstances.Portfolio link included on resume or in application required.
