About the role

What you’ll do: The Mid-Level Application Developer will support the development of emerging solutions designed to empower government clients. This is primarily remote with going into the office or meeting with customers a few times per quarter. Must live in the DC metro area. Must be a US Citizen to support US Government programs and be eligible for a Secret clearance.
Responsibilities: Implement scoped Python backend fixes and REST API integrations using Flask or FastAPI. Improve the Vue.js interface, including answer presentation, citations, tables and error states Use SQL and graph queries to validate records, relationships and financial fields; trace issuesacross retrieval, backend responses and UI rendering Build regression tests and document expected versus actual results, evidence, defects andremaining limitations Maintain focused code changes, technical documentation and clear progress updates. Support controlled validation and releases Adhere to and report on technical milestones and the overall project schedule Participate in and support internal and external engagements including client meetings, conferences, and industry days Evaluate operational deficiencies, recommend improvements, and coordinate theirimplementation Attend meetings and program reviews, assist with compiling presentations, written materials, and/or electronic communications as required Travel domestically and internationally, provide in-person support at client sites, andobtain and maintain professional certifications and security clearances as required.
Qualifications: 2-4 years of experience developing applications using Python, SQL, REST APIs, and relatedtechnologies Experience in practical data validation and debugging Experience using JavaScript or TypeScript and a modern frontend framework; Vue.js preferred. Experience with Git, code reviews, automated testing and the ability to explain and verify codechanges Experience using LLM coding assistants such as Claude Code, ChatGPT or Codex to investigatecode, plan changes, implement fixes and create tests Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint Eligibility to obtain a DOD SECRET security clearance Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline from an institution accredited in the United States Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask Strong verbal and written interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills Compensation Policy: Competitive salaries Comprehensive medical plans (Aetna) with Employee Assistance Program (EAP), heath savingsand flexible spending accounts, and dental and vision coverage options Opportunity to earn spot awards and annual, performance, and chargeability bonuses Traditional and Roth 401(K) plans Professional development including up to $1,500/year reimbursement for pre-approvedcourses, trainings, continued education, and/or certifications Paid Flexible Time Off 10 paid holidays
