Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Tool & Die Maker to support production operations in a manufacturing environment. The Senior Tool & Die Maker will build, repair, and maintain progressive, transfer, and/or line dies to ensure high-quality production and minimal downtime. This role requires strong machining knowledge, die troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
The Senior Tool & Die Maker role includes: Build, assemble, and fit new dies according to engineering specifications and blueprintsInspect, troubleshoot, and repair dies to maintain production qualityPerform preventive maintenance on dies, tools, and fixturesOperate manual mills, lathes, grinders, and CNC equipment as neededPerform die spotting, tryouts, adjustments, and fine-tuningDiagnose tooling issues during production and implement corrective solutionsCollaborate with engineering, production, and maintenance teamsMaintain documentation for repairs and maintenance activitiesEnsure all work meets safety and quality standardsRequired QualificationsMinimum 5+ years of Tool & Die experience (building, repairing, maintaining dies) Strong ability to read blueprints, CAD drawings, and GD&TKnowledge of stamping processes, die mechanics, and tool steelsSkilled in machining, grinding, polishing, and precision fittingProficient with micrometers, calipers, indicators, and precision measuring toolsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsHigh School Diploma or GED requiredTechnical training or apprenticeship preferred Work Environment & Physical RequirementsManufacturing/production floor environmentAbility to lift up to 50 lbsFrequent standing, bending, and extended hand useOvertime may be required based on production needs If you are a highly skilled professional ready to take the next step in your career, apply today for the Senior Tool & Die Maker opportunity in Catoosa.
