About the role
MissionHires is seeking an Environmental Principal in Miami to lead complex environmental projects, manage key South Florida client relationships, and drive regional business growth. This senior role blends technical leadership, project delivery excellence, and business development within the local regulatory landscape, including strong familiarity with Miami/South Florida processes and DERM requirements.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage environmental projects across scope, schedule, budget, and client communication
Provide senior technical and strategic oversight for multiple concurrent engagements
Support business development and strengthen existing client relationships
Identify and pursue growth opportunities in the Miami/South Florida market
Collaborate with internal teams and leverage shared resources to ensure successful delivery
Serve as a subject matter resource on local environmental processes, permitting, and expectations
Maintain high standards of quality, responsiveness, and client service
Requirements
Strong environmental consulting or related leadership experience
Proven success managing environmental projects and client relationships
Knowledge of Miami/South Florida regulatory environment; familiarity with DERM strongly preferred
Ability to contribute to business development and ideally bring an existing network or book of business
Demonstrated expertise in environmental project management and client relationship development
Knowledge of local environmental regulations and permitting
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus (not required)
Alignment with senior-level revenue growth expectations (support and develop business volume)
