About the role
Job TitleThe holder of the position is responsible for analyzing the agricultural economy in relation to all its challenges in connection with current events and the evolution of French and European public policies. This includes:- developing reform proposals from an economic perspective and participating interministerially in the development of national agricultural economic policies ;- writing analysis and expertise documents on agricultural economic policy issues to develop the position of the Ministry of Economy and Finance on these issues ;- conducting scientific, documentary, and bibliographic follow-up on analyses and models developed by external organizations to the DG Trésor ;- following European negotiations related to the agricultural sector when relevant and participating in discussions to prepare the French position during community and international negotiations, particularly regarding changes to the Common Agricultural Policy ;- monitoring regulatory and legislative developments related to the agricultural sector, particularly regarding changes to the Common Agricultural Policy. In regular contact with interministerial and interdepartmental counterparts (General Directorate of the Budget, General Directorate for Economic and Environmental Performance), he/she prepares memos, notes, and elements of speech for the Minister and participates in meetings of the Prime Minister's cabinet. The holder will be involved in internal seminars of the Treasury, and in publications of an economic nature of the DG Trésor, and in particular, the "Trésor-Eco" which present, for a wide audience, economic analyses on current topics. Previous professional experience in agricultural policies would be an advantage. Knowledge:- Public economy, economic analysis of public policies- Knowledge of agricultural policies
