Senior Development Engineer / Lead | San Diego, CAWe are looking for a Senior Development Engineer / Lead to join our client focused on the development and manufacturing of next-generation interventional Med Tech. This is a hands-on engineering leadership role with direct reports from day one, offering a fast-track path toward engineering management while remaining technically engaged. The position offers:• Direct reports and team leadership• A fast-track path to engineering management• Hands-on responsibility across R&D, prototyping, process development, and manufacturing• Leadership and mentoring of technicians supporting R&D and prototype projects• Process feasibility and development activities• Transitioning development projects into production• Troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing issues• Technical training and guidance for engineers, technicians, and operators• Cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives• Technical support for project scoping and customer-facing activities• Development of technical documentation and quality-related materials The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background, experience in a medical device manufacturing environment, and the ability to communicate complex engineering concepts effectively. Just as important is the desire to lead, mentor, and develop others. This is an opportunity for an engineer who wants to build toward engineering management while remaining hands-on and technically involved.
