About the role
Overseeing dedicated Consumer Reviewer support teams, the full-time Consumer Reviewer Administrative Manager will manage the sourcing pipeline for national advocacy groups, implement training programs for lay reviewers, and ensure their successful integration into scientific peer-review panels in a hybrid work environment.
Key responsibilities
Design and implement strategies for recruiting and vetting consumer reviewers for research programs
Maintain a database of advocacy organizations to source nominations for consumer reviewers
Oversee training programs for laypeople on grant applications and peer review processes
Required qualifications
Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, social work, public health, communications, or a related field
5-7 years of experience in patient advocacy, community outreach, or health communications
Experience working with non-profit advocacy groups or veteran organizations
Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with individuals from diverse medical backgrounds
Experience in developing and delivering training programs for lay audiences
