Software Engineer IV

Duration: 6 Months +A growing SaaS organization is seeking a Software Engineer IV for a 6-month remote contract opportunity. The company develops AI-powered pricing and promotions technology that helps global brands and retailers optimize pricing based on market conditions and improve promotional performance. This role will focus on building and enhancing core products using Java, SQL, and modern enterprise technologies in a collaborative engineering environment. Contract Duration: 6 Months +Required Skills & Experience· 3+ years of professional software development experience· Strong Java development skills or demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to Java· Strong object-oriented design skills· Solid SQL experience· Knowledge of website design and usability· Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to break complex problems into manageable components· Ability to work independently and effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment· Ability to connect technical solutions to business requirements and communicate across technical and business teams· BS or BA in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience

What You Will Be Doing: Tech Breakdown· Java· SQL· Hibernate and/or Spring· Google Cloud· Kubernetes· GradleDaily Responsibilities· Hands-on development of robust, well-tested application functionality· Collaborate with product management to define and prioritize future functionality· Participate in a modified Scrum environment, including specification, estimation, and division of work· Conduct peer code reviews to identify bugs, performance concerns, security issues, and opportunities to improve code quality· Help establish and improve software design, implementation, and coding standards· Perform unit and system-level testing across applications and affected systems· Implement application designs with consideration for performance, caching, state management, error logging, scalability, configuration, and testing· Collaborate with engineering teammates while independently managing assigned work
