About the role
Frontier House DC is a private 501(c)(7) membership club for operators, builders, investors, and civic leaders in the national security community. The clubhouse is a historic 1905 townhome at 1 D Street SE, across from the U.S. Capitol grounds. The standard is discretion, presentation, and a House that is ready when the first member hits the curb.
Role Description:
The Membership Lead is a W-2 hybrid role, 30 hours per week, based in the Washington, DC area. Work CRM, calls, referrals, invoices, and follow-up remotely. Be in the House when an acceptance, onboarding, or Ops training requires a face. This is not a tour desk. Operations gives tours. Fill the pipeline. Move the pipeline. Close memberships. Own the revenue-producing membership process: This is a seat for a hungry, organized closer. You convert the right people into paid members and train Operations so no qualified prospect leaves the House without a next step. Core work includes: Scrub Hub Spot and keep the pipeline accurate Source new leads; proactive outreach; call and follow up Work member referrals and Ambassador referrals; build Ambassador relationships Attend relevant external events and generate qualified prospects Advance every applicant; send acceptance emails Send or coordinate invoices; chase outstanding invoices; convert accepted applicants to paid members Own pricing discussion against the posted rate card — no unauthorized discounts or misclassification Train Day and Evening Operations on what FHDC is, who belongs, categories, dues, benefits, and the application process Ops owns the member who is physically in the House. Membership Lead owns the member lifecycle. Compensation is a base wage plus uncapped performance commission on qualified new memberships per House policy.
Qualifications:
Comfortable calling senior operators, founders, investors, and public officials. Can work a pipeline from anywhere and still show up in the House when the close requires a face. Treats Hub Spot as the job, not a chore. Discretion is absolute. Never discuss members, guests, meetings, or conversations. Prior private-club, membership, or high-trust sales experience is useful. No task is beneath the role. If it needs doing, do it.
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
