Qualifications: Daily Sub rates applyMust be registered with EDUStaff, LLCPossess a bachelor's degree in early childhood education or child development with a specialization in preschool teaching. Alternatively, a valid Michigan teaching certificate with an Early Childhood Education (ZA) or Early Childhood-General and Special Education (ZS) endorsementHold current certifications in CPR and First Aid. (Will provide training) Willingness to complete all health and safety requirements as mandated by LARA licensing by the State of MichiganPrior teaching experience with preschool-aged children, especially those considered at-risk, is preferredFamiliarity with research-based preschool curriculum and knowledge of Michigan's Early Childhood Standards of Quality for Pre-Responsibilities: Responsible for lesson planning and instruction of early childhood for prekindergarten students utilizing the Creative Curriculum and Pyramid PracticesConducts ongoing assessment of student learning and progress, and modifies instructional methods to fit student needsContinues to acquire professional knowledge and learning of current developments in the educational field by attending seminars, workshops, or professional development meetingsPerforms other duties as assignedPhysical Requirements and Working Conditions: Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any directionLifting: Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires the substantial use of the upper extremities and back musclesGrasping: Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palmTalking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken words; those activities where detailed or important spoken instructions must be conveyed to other workers accurately, loudly, or quicklyHearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction, and having the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and making fine discriminations in soundRepetitive motions: Making substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingersThe worker is subject to environmental conditions.
