Job Description: As a Sheet Metal Duct Fabricator based in our Salt Lake City shop, you will specialize in fabricating commercial HVAC ductwork and fittings. Utilizing various specialized machines such as stomp shears, slitter, bending brakes, and auto notchers, you will create precise duct components while ensuring quality and safety. This role functions as an individual contributor in a shop-based environment with no travel requirements.
Responsibilities: Fabricate ductwork and fittings according to specifications Cut, bend, and shape sheet metal using various machines Operate stomp shear, slitter, bending brakes, auto notcher, rollers, beading, clinch, lockformer, and pinner machines Inspect fabricated parts for quality and accuracy Assemble and fit duct components Handle materials efficiently and maintain an organized workspace Perform routine tool and machine maintenance Read and interpret blueprints for duct fabrication Comply with safety standards and protocols
Preferred Qualifications: 2+ years of experience in sheet metal fabrication Proficient in blueprint reading Experience operating stomp shear, bending brakes, auto notchers, rollers, and beading machines Familiarity with clinch machine, lockformers, and pinner usage Mechanical aptitude with strong attention to detail\nCompany
