About the role
About Chronicle Bio Chronicle Bio is a clinical-stage precision techbio company developing biomarker-guided treatments for ME/CFS, Long COVID, POTS, and related neuroimmune conditions. Our platform combines a large-scale biobank with an endotype-driven diagnostic and therapeutic strategy, allowing us to match existing and novel therapeutics to the specific drivers of each patient's disease. We are a mission-driven team aiming to lead discovery in the largest unmet needs in healthcare.
The Role:
Chronicle Bio seeks a Research Associate to run plate-based immunoassays on human biospecimens for our biomarker research programs. You will handle day-to-day assay execution, from sample prep through data QC and reporting. This bench-focused role suits someone who values clean technique, careful sample tracking, and reproducible data.
Key Responsibilities:
Run ELISAs and related immunoassays in duplicate according to kit inserts and internal SOPs, keeping incubation times and temperatures exact. Prepare buffers, standards, controls, and reagents; thaw, aliquot, and dilute plasma and serum samples. Lay out and wash plates (manually or with an automated washer), and pipette accurately with multichannel pipettes on a tight schedule. Read plates on a microplate reader, fit standard curves, calculate results, and apply QC criteria (curve fit, %CV, controls); re-run samples that fail QC or fall out of range. Keep sample inventory, chain of custody, reagent lot numbers, and raw data up to date in the LIMS/ELN; report status and issues to the supervising scientist. Help troubleshoot assays, and help onboard new kits or protocols as project needs change. Handle human biospecimens safely under BSL-2 and Universal Precautions.
What You Bring:
B.S. in Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, or a related field, with 1+ year of hands-on lab experience. Proven experience running ELISAs or similar plate-based immunoassays end to end, including standard curve analysis in Excel, Prism, or similar software. Strong single- and multichannel pipetting skills; experience handling human plasma or serum under BSL-2.Attention to detail and reliable documentation and sample traceability.
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
