Assemble, inspect, and prepare quarter fenders and related components for shipping according to Fontaine Spray Suppression standards and customer
Responsibilities: Build and assemble quarter fenders and components in accordance to daily schedules, pick lists and/or documented instructions. Prepare finished fenders for shipments with proper labeling, and protective packaging. Follow production or sales orders, assembling in proper sequence the configurations required to satisfy orders. Must legibly and accurately document first piece inspection and other forms as required. Report to the Team Leader any problems that may arise (i.e. non-conforming parts, lack of material, etc.)Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained. Follow all safety procedures, work rules, and company policies at all times. Periodic cleaning and maintenance of machinery and work areas including storage and periodic cleaning, preventative maintenance, and organization or assembly stations and surrounding areas. Assist other departments or team members as required to meet production goals or resolve workflow issues. Other duties as assigned. Responsibility and Authority:
Reports to: Team Leader, Plant Manager, or Operations Manager. Responsible for: Individual work performance (no supervisory responsibilities)Assist: Various support areas when needed. Interface: Production, Quality, Shipping, and Material Handling. II. Workplace Conditions Tools and Equipment: Various hand tools, press machines, and jigs specific to quarter fender assembly.
Working Conditions: Subject to loud noise and dust and extreme. Worker AbilitiesA. Physical Ability to lift moderate amounts of weight (under 50 pounds).Ability to stand for up to eight hours, climb a ladder, bend/twist at waist, push, pull, pick and grasp objects with hands. Ability to perform repetitive. Mental Ability to understand and closely follow instructions. Ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions, drawings, and do basic have good interpersonal skills and be able to communicate clearly and precisely. IV. Worker ExperienceA. Must have at least six months industrial experience. B. High school diploma or GED is required.
