Project Engineer - Simulation TrainingBinghamton, New YorkFull time, onsite. Occasional overtime, weekend, or shift work and CONUS travel required based on program needs.This Project Engineer role supports simulation training programs used to prepare military pilots and maintainers, based in Binghamton, New York. The company designs and builds simulation and training systems for defense and government customers, with more than 75 years in the industry. This role requires an active DoD Secret or higher clearance granted or renewed within the last five years.What You'll DoAs Project Engineer, you will lead engineering execution for an assigned simulation training program, coordinating across integrated product teams (IPTs) and driving major technical events such as design reviews, peer reviews, and program milestones. You will own engineering scope, cost, schedule, and risk, using Cost Account Management (CAM) reviews to maintain execution discipline. This role interfaces regularly with senior program engineering management, company leadership, and DoD or government customer stakeholders. You will identify technical risks early, recommend data driven solutions, and support process and technology improvements that strengthen program performance.Required QualificationsActive DoD Secret or higher security clearance, granted or renewed within the last 5 yearsU.S. citizenship requiredAbility to obtain and maintain Special Program AccessBachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience, plus 8+ years of technical or project leadership experienceEarned Value Management (EVM) experience across cost, schedule, and technical performanceEngineering lifecycle experience, including requirements, design, build, test, and deliveryExperience working in both Traditional and Agile program environmentsStrong analytical, critical thinking, and risk management skillsAbility to work occasional overtime, weekend or shift work, and CONUS travelPreferred QualificationsPrior defense or military experienceFamiliarity with DevSecOps practicesCompensation and BenefitsMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k)Paid time offTo apply, submit your resume for consideration.
