About the role
Plant Supply Chain Operations Leader Provides direct leadership of specific areas within the Plant Supply Chain Operations. Operations include receiving, preparation of raw materials, conversion of raw materials, fill and close seaming processes, thermal retort processes, labeling, and shipping product. This position is responsible for leading a team on shift to deliver on the key measures of safety, quality, productivity, and service. Responsibilities include leading, coaching, and developing team members through effective communication and leadership practices, as well as partnering with the greater plant team to identify opportunities to drive toward both short- and long-term objectives. All plant employees are responsible for supporting the company's food safety and quality programs through compliance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Employees are expected to follow GMPs, sanitation practices, operational procedures, and reporting expectations while remaining vigilant for any food safety, quality, or foreign material concerns. Every employee has the responsibility and authority to identify, communicate, and help address issues that could impact product safety, legality, or quality.
Major Position Responsibilities:

Employees must possess excellent leadership and interpersonal skills. Essential 80% Direct team leadership to meet area, plant, and company objectives. Includes the effective and efficient use of company materials and equipment and leadership of area employees. Directly responsible for all aspects of quality, safety, productivity, and service. Directly responsible for coaching and developing team members and ensuring area is appropriately staffed to meet operational objectives. Expected to spend significant time on the production floor with the team. Work with other Area Managers across shifts and functions to collaborate and align on company initiatives and communication.10% Analyzing operational opportunities for specific area of responsibility. Includes root cause analysis of issues and action plan steps to improve performance.10% Planning and leading improvement projects and teams. Supplemental Fiscal Responsibility: Operational budgets that includes controllable costs. Internal Customers: Areas within supply chain that assume responsibility for product such as Production, Cook, Brite, Labeling, Shipping. Plant departments of engineering, maintenance, and quality. External Customers: Consumers and direct customers.2nd shift
