About the role
Description:
Western Trailers is seeking a skilled Assembly Technician. Must possess the desire and ability to assemble flat beds & panel trailers, to include but not limited to: basic electrical, basic plumbing, basic flooring, etc.
Physical Demands:
Physical exertion required. Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, push, twist, kneel, bend, and move about the facility. Regularly required to lift and move equipment and components weighing up to 50 + lbs.
Responsibilities:
Ability to listen, comprehend, and follow technical instructions Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities Maintain a safe and friendly work environment Required to pass skill test Maintain a safe and friendly work environment Required to pass skill test Experience Level Experience in the use of a variety of hand tools Knowledge of basic measuring tools, e.g., tape measure, and have basic math skills. Desirable general mechanical / manufacturing experience Must meet attendance, be punctual & dependable Able to lift up to 50 + lbs. Working well as a team member, or independently Able to read & speak English Be able to stand on feet for most of the day Dependable transportation Previous experience a plus Education HS Diploma or GED equivalency
