About the role

About the Company: An established General Contractor is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the full lifecycle of commercial and institutional construction projects.
About the Role: The Assistant Project Manager will manage smaller projects, typically $0–4M, while supporting larger projects where required. Experience with Design/Build, Lump Sum, Fast Track and IDIQ contracts is preferred.
Responsibilities: Manage and maintain project controls, including RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, changes, quality, safety and financial performance. Support change management, including pricing, estimating and change orders. Assist with estimating and quantity take-offs. Establish and maintain project schedules. Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, clients and internal teams. Support contracts, subcontracts and purchase orders. Identify potential project issues and assist with solutions. Assist with constructability and value engineering. Support project closeout and ensure contractual requirements are met. Work with field teams to ensure quality and safety standards are maintained.
Qualifications: B.S. in Engineering or Construction Management with 2–3 years of relevant GC experience, or 5+ years of directly related experience.
Required Skills: Civil estimating and contracting experience with a GC or subcontractor. Commercial, institutional or industrial construction experience. Experience with subcontracted and self-performed work. Good understanding of construction means and methods. Strong computer skills, including spreadsheets and construction software. Ability to travel to jobsites within the designated area. Clean driving record. OSHA 30, First Aid and CPR.Current USACE / NAVFAC CQC certification.
Preferred Skills: EIT or Associate Constructor (AC) preferred.
