Molding / Press Operator – 2nd Shift
Location: Worcester, MA 01606 Shift: 2nd Shift – 1:30 PM–10:00 PM Pay Rate: $23.75/hour ($22.00 base + $1.75 2nd-shift differential)The requisition confirms the 1:30 PM–10:00 PM schedule and 40-hour workweek.
Position Overview: We are seeking Molding / Press Operators to support a manufacturing operation in Worcester, MA.This position is responsible for operating hydraulic, robotic, and/or manual presses and molding equipment to compact manufacturing materials and form products into specified shapes. The Operator will use established molding methods, procedures, and pressing techniques while performing basic quality checks to ensure finished products meet required tolerances and
Responsibilities: Operate hydraulic, robotic, and/or manual presses and molding equipment. Mold and form manufacturing materials into basic product shapes. Apply appropriate molding and pressing methods, procedures, and techniques. Prepare and position materials for molding and pressing molding operations to ensure proper product basic density testing on initial molded pieces. Check finished products for conformance to required tolerances and a variety of measuring tools to inspect molded products. Operate hand and power tools used in the molding process. Use a tamping gun and other production tools as required. Recognize differences among molding materials, mixes, and product characteristics. Follow established manufacturing procedures and work instructions. Maintain consistent product quality throughout the production process. Maintain a safe and organized work area.
Qualifications: Previous manufacturing, press operating, molding, machine operating, production, or industrial experience preferred. Experience operating hydraulic presses, molding equipment, production presses, or similar industrial machinery is highly desirable. Basic knowledge of manufacturing and molding to understand basic pressing, molding, and finishing techniques. Experience using measuring tools. Comfortable using hand and power tools. Basic math skills. Ability to follow specifications and production instructions. Strong attention to detail and product quality. Ability to recognize product or process issues. Ability to safely work around industrial machinery. Dependable attendance and ability to consistently work the 1:30 PM–10:00 PM shift.
