Hybrid: onsite and remoteOverviewThe Mechanical Engineer PE I applies standard engineering techniques to design, analyze, test, maintain, repair, or improve products, components, or assemblies.
Responsibilities: Sign and seal engineering documents. Analyze, develop, and evaluate systems. Improve and maintain current systems or create new projects. Design and draft blueprints, visit systems in the field, and manage projects. Apply engineering techniques and analyses within the scope of the assignment. Perform work under general supervision. Handle complex issues and problems, referring only the most complex issues to higher-level staff. Travel 5-10% of the time to job site(s) or office location. Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and/or poles. Climb stairs, move in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces. Repeat motions involving wrists, hands, and fingers. Operate machinery and power tools. Work outdoors in elements such as precipitation, heat, cold, and wind. Work in noisy environments. Perform light to heavy work, including adjusting and/or moving objects from 20-100 pounds.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Professional Engineer License (PE). 4-6 years of experience. Working knowledge of relevant subject matter. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Mathematic and computer skills. Technical expertise. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Detail-oriented and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment. Willing to tackle various ongoing projects.
