About the role
- MRI (primary focus)
- Perform high‑quality orthopedic and spine MRI exams (spine, shoulder, knee, wrist, ankle, foot, hip, elbow) on our Esaote S‑Scan 0.25T low‑field system using established protocols.
- Perform exams on a 1.5T GE trailer or future in‑house high‑field unit if/when available.
- Conduct thorough MRI safety screening and maintain strict Zone III/IV access control.
- Educate, position, and reassure patients, with an emphasis on comfort and image quality.
- X‑ray & daily imaging operations
- Perform diagnostic X‑ray of spine and extremities in accordance with South Carolina radiation standards.
- Operate and care for MRI and X‑ray equipment; consistently produce diagnostic‑quality images.
- Accurately document all procedures in EMR and PACS; maintain organized imaging records.
- PACS, workflow, and radiologist support
- Use EXA PACS and RadWorx (full training provided) to retrieve, route, and manage imaging studies and radiologist worklists.
- Prepare studies for interpretation and support efficient radiologist workflow.
- After training, assist with AI‑enhanced reporting workflows, including structured PowerPoint and video‑style report deliverables.
- Scheduling, coordination, and growth
- Help with scheduling, confirmations, and patient prep for MRI and X‑ray.
- Support front‑office and patient‑flow tasks to keep the day running smoothly.
- Participate in light marketing/practice‑growth activities, such as provider outreach or educational/social media content.
- What we’re offering
- ARRT‑registered Radiologic Technologist – RT(R) in good standing.
- X‑ray certified and legally eligible to perform diagnostic X‑ray in South Carolina.
- Formal MRI training and real clinical MRI experience (not just observation):Orthopedic/MSK and spine experience strongly preferred.
- Low‑field experience is a plus; experienced high‑field techs comfortable adapting to low‑field are welcome.
- BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain shortly after hire).Ability to work independently in a small outpatient environment, handling both MRI and X‑ray.
- Not required, but a big plus:
- ARRT RT(MR) is not required at hire, but interest in earning RT(MR) with our sponsorship is strongly preferred.
- Prior outpatient orthopedics, spine, or sports medicine imaging experience.
- Comfort with PACS/EMR and curiosity about AI‑assisted reporting and workflow optimization.
- You’ll thrive here if you:
