Pharmacist In Charge Miami, Florida | Full-Time | Monday–Friday
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Pharmacist In Charge to oversee the daily operations of a retail pharmacy in Miami, FL. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of retail pharmacy management experience, strong leadership skills, and a current Florida pharmacist license. Fluency in both English and Spanish is required. Schedule Monday–Friday Typically between 8:30 AM–5:00
PMKey Responsibilities:
Review, verify, and dispense prescriptions in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Ensure prescriptions are appropriate, accurate, and legally compliant. Oversee daily pharmacy operations and maintain an organized, efficient workflow. Manage medication inventory, including ordering, stocking, labeling, storage, and expiration monitoring. Counsel patients and provide appropriate medication-related information and guidance. Prepare and dispense medications using correct dosages and procedures. Maintain accurate patient profiles and medication records. Ensure compliance with HIPAA, Fraud, Waste & Abuse requirements, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Ensure pharmacy staff follow organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Lead, supervise, and support pharmacy technicians in their daily responsibilities. Assist with performance evaluations and communicate staff performance or behavioral concerns to senior management. Develop and manage pharmacy technician schedules, including coordinating leave requests and medical accommodations with senior management. Utilize the pharmacy's patient management system effectively. Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Active Florida Pharmacist (PharmD) license required. Candidates whose Florida license is still in process will not be considered.3–5 years of retail pharmacy management experience required. Previous pharmacy leadership or supervisory experience. Previous retail pharmacy experience. Proficiency with pharmacy patient management systems. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent leadership, organizational, and team-management abilities. Fluent in both English and Spanish.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for prolonged periods. Ability to use hands to handle, control, and manipulate pharmacy equipment and products. Ability to perform tasks requiring fine motor skills.
