About the role
- Establish contact with prospective and qualified potential buyers of new systems, system modifications and upgrades by scheduling sales calls, following up on leads and outlined marketing strategies
- Determine customer needs by conducting site surveys and communicating effectively to educate the customer about MAFP's capabilities
- Develop and maintain an active proposal backlog to support the established sales plan
- Develop and maintain new and existing customer relationships to ensure we meet or exceed the expectations of our customers
- Support other MAFP Teams in their initiatives as they relate to your territory
- Meet the key objectives of the annual commission plan
- Five years' experience in the fire protection industry with Fire Sprinkler Contract Sales and Estimating experience is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of NFPA 13 is preferred
- Ability to create local and distance relationships with General Contractors and end users
- Strong prospecting skills
- Proven ability to close
- Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
- Must pass a post-offer drug test, background and reference checks
