About the role
Supporting the Bureau's tobacco control strategy, the full-time New York Licensed Assistant Director of Tobacco Programs will assist in developing and executing community engagement strategies, overseeing research and program evaluation, and managing financial administration in a hybrid work environment.
Key responsibilities
Assist in the development and execution of a comprehensive equity-based tobacco control strategy
Oversee community engagement strategies and maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders
Support research and evaluation activities, including program evaluation and community input processes
Required qualifications
Doctorate degree in public health or a related field with at least 5 years of experience
Experience with strategic planning, program monitoring, and public health research
Proficiency in budget management, contracts, and fundraising activities
Strong analytical skills and experience working with community partners and government agencies
Excellent computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite
