We are seeking a dedicated and organizedKitchen & Food Services Director (Ministry & Hospitality)to oversee all aspects of our kitchen operations and food service ministries. In this full-time, on-site role, you will be responsible for planning menus, preparing and supervising food production, and creating a safe, welcoming, and hospitable environment for church events, programs, and gatherings. Key ResponsibilitiesOperations & Menu Planning: Oversee daily kitchen functions, design menus for various church events, and manage food and beverage production for groups of all sizes. Financial & Inventory Management: Handle P&L responsibilities, control food and operational costs, manage inventories, and operate within established financial guidelines. Staff & Volunteer Leadership: Recruit, train, schedule, and guide kitchen staff and volunteers with a servant-hearted approach. Safety & Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, and sanitation standards required for commercial or institutional kitchens. Ministry Collaboration: Partner closely with ministry leaders to coordinate food service for multiple events, ensuring seamless execution and strong interpersonal communication. Demonstrate: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and additionally, lead, motivate, and support volunteers in a ministry setting. Qualifications & RequirementsExperience: Proven background in food service, food & beverage operations, food preparation, and catering for small and large groups.
Management Skills: Demonstrated experience in P&L management, budgeting, and leading/training staff or volunteers. Knowledge & Standards: Comprehensive understanding of commercial/institutional health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Background: Previous experience working in church, nonprofit, hospitality, or institutional food service settings is highly preferred.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training in culinary arts, hospitality, or management is a plus.
Availability: Wednesday evenings, occasional weekend church events and throughout the week.
