Talent Harbor has partnered with a premier national manufacturer and distributor of high-performance architectural metal building products operating across the U.S. We are seeking an autonomous, floor-first Operations Supervisor to lead daily warehouse logistics, container receiving, inventory control, and light machinery operations at our client's Honolulu facility. Because this Oahu branch operates with high autonomy from mainland headquarters, you will serve as the primary tactical leader on-site. We are looking for a visible, hands-on floor leader who steps onto a facility floor and immediately knows how to organize workflows, maintain equipment readiness, enforce safety, and keep a crew efficient. Military Veterans (Logistics, Supply, Motor Pool, Maintenance, Seabees, NCOICs/Chiefs) and candidates with practical mechanical troubleshooting experience are strongly encouraged to apply! What You’ll Do Day-to-DayLead from the Front: Directly mentor, train, and coach an on-site crew of 10 to 20 hourly warehouse operators, material handlers, and equipment operators. Drive Island Logistics: Oversee container freight offloading, stock staging, inventory replenishment, and local island drayage/fulfillment. Equipment & Mechanical Ownership: Ensure daily operational readiness and basic preventive maintenance (PM) for facility assets, including industrial forklifts, material-handling equipment, roll-forming lines, and basic cutting/processing tools. (Ability to troubleshoot minor equipment downtime is a huge plus!).Optimize Storage & Workflows: Apply Lean/5S principles to maximize warehouse capacity, organize staging cells, and minimize material damage. Master Floor Metrics: Take ownership of key operational KPIs, including Inventory Accuracy, Order Fulfillment Speed, On-Time Delivery, and Labor Productivity. Maintain Data Integrity: Drive daily material transactions using modern ERP platforms and handheld RF barcode scanners for high inventory accuracy.
Note:
Customer invoicing and sales order entry are handled separately by dedicated front-office teams.
What We’re Looking ForOperational Leadership Experience: 3 to 5+ years of supervisory experience leading frontline teams within a warehouse, logistics hub, commercial supply distribution center, or military operational unit.
Military Transition Talent Preferred: Prior military background (US Navy, USMC, Army, USAF, USCG) in Logistics, Supply, Property Book, Motor Pool Maintenance, Transportation, Aviation Support, or Engineering/Seabees is highly valued.
Practical Mechanical Aptitude: Practical experience working around, operating, or maintaining industrial equipment, forklifts, or machinery. You don't need to be a certified mechanic, but you shouldn't be intimidated by mechanical troubleshooting or routine PM schedules.
Hands-On Mentality: Complete willingness to jump in, operate a forklift, handle materials, or tackle floor bottlenecks alongside your crew to hit tight delivery deadlines.
Systems & Inventory Discipline: Proven experience using inventory tracking software (ERP/WMS) and handheld RF scanners for daily cycle counts and stock movements.
