Description: 1ST SHIFT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN Stevens Industries | Teutopolis, ILKEEP THE PRODUCTION LINE MOVING. Join the Stevens Industries team as a1st Shift Maintenance Technicianand play a critical role in keeping our manufacturing operations running safely, efficiently, and reliably. This is ahands-on, high-impact positionwhere no two days are the same. You'll troubleshoot equipment, work with advanced controls and automation, and partner with production and engineering teams to solve problems and improve our operations.
WHAT YOU'LL DO: Respond to equipment breakdowns and diagnosemechanical and electrical issues TroubleshootPLCs, control circuits, sensors, and industrial automation systems Install, modify, and maintain electrical equipment, PLCs, instrumentation, andAC/DC variable speed drives Repair and rebuildgearboxes, motors, cylinders, and mechanical systems Work withhydraulics, pneumatics, relay logic, and electrical schematics Support the design, installation, and improvement of manufacturing equipment and systems. Collaborate with Engineering and Productionto identify and resolve operational issues. Research parts, components, pricing, and lead times for maintenance projects and upgrades. Read and interpret complextechnical drawings, schematics, and specifications
Requirements: WHAT YOU BRINGStrong experience inindustrial maintenance - electrical & mechanical Hands-on knowledge ofPLC systems, troubleshooting, and programming logic Experience withAC/DC drives, control systems, sensors, and industrial wiring Strong mechanical aptitude, includinghydraulics, pneumatics, and machine repair Ability to independently diagnose and solve problems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Experience readingelectrical schematics, technical drawings, and machine documentation Basic machining, fabrication, and tooling knowledge. Proficiency with basic computer systems and Windows-based tools. Strong math skills, includinggeometry, trigonometry, and metric conversions AutoCAD or technical drafting experience is a plus. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across departments.
